Veterans Day

Today’s blog isn’t about pharma or biotech…

It’s about learning and growing.

How many times do we just roll through life doing things without really understanding why?

It struck me that tomorrow is Veteran’s Day –

And yes, I know it is to honor our military veterans.

My dad was a veteran.

My brother is a veteran.

My uncle is a veteran.

But, that’s about what I knew – it’s a day to honor our military veterans.

Veterans Day is celebrated on November 11th because it is the day fighting ceased between the Allied nations and Germany in World War 1. The war actually officially ended when the Treaty of Versailles was signed in June of 1919 but fighting had stopped seven months prior on the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month.

The Veterans Administration website says:

“Veterans Day is a celebration to honor America’s veterans for their patriotism, love of country, and willingness to serve and sacrifice for the common good.”

So, the point of the blog today is to LEARN and GROW.

We can do this in all aspects of our lives.
