Celebrating Success!

Doubt gets in the way of success.

When you are in the process of interviewing for jobs in biopharma you must manage the self-doubt.

You MUST sell the translate-able skills that you bring to the role

AND

You know those skills best.

If an interviewer presents a negative to you… “well, you don’t have research experience”

You must not simply agree!

You have to keep control of the interview and tell them what you DO have.

Maybe you have research experience that for some reason they missed on your resume?

Or, you have served on an IRB and that experience gave you understanding of research processes and procedures.

The point is, you have to be ready to turn your response/answer to something that is beneficial to you and your capabilities to do the job.

This takes preparation and practice.

Practice your responses out loud – in the shower, to your partner, in your car… get confident in these responses so that when you are a bit more nervous perhaps in the interview you don’t lose your cool and simply agree with the interviewer.
